PRESENTATION: LANDMARKS OF CENTRAL MACEDONIA THROUGH "THE TIME MACHINE"

SATURDAY MARCH 15
15:30–17:30
John Cassavetes Theater

Οn the occasion of its 20th anniversary in documentary production, the investigative television show Time Machine presents both well-known and obscure landmarks of the region that have “starred” in its stories, in collaboration with the Film Office – Central Macedonia. The creators of the Time Machine, Christos Vassilopoulos and Dimitris Petropoulos, will showcase the methodology of journalistic investigation, both in terms of testimonies and in the capturing of images and dramatized reenactment scenes. Using audiovisual excerpts from the programs on COSMOTE HISTORY, the two journalists will demonstrate how they select locations related to the themes of the show—either because they are directly mentioned or because they are similar to the topic being explored. Monasteries, abandoned villages, castles, prisons, canals, stone bridges, and rural-livestock facilities comprise the indicative thematic list of the landmarks in Central Macedonia that will be highlighted during the event. A discussion with the audience will follow.
