The 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival honors Nicolas Philibert, one of the most important filmmakers in European documentary, recognizing his work and contribution to cinema. With his subtle and observant gaze, Philibert has captured moments of everyday life with sensitivity and immediacy, giving voice to people and places that are often left on the sideline. In recognition of his contribution, the festival will award him the honorary Golden Alexander. The award ceremony will be followed by a screening of his film On the Adamant.
