The 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival calls it a wrap with the screening of the film Yani Spanos: A Life Behind the Marquee by Aris Dorizas. A journey along the outstanding career of a great composer, from his childhood home years in Kiato all the way to his impressive collaborations in Paris and the huge success in Greece, through rare footage and interviews.Through the prism of an aficionado of his music, the documentary provides us insight into why Spanos opted to remain under the radar, allowing his work to take center stage and do all the talking for him.
