AN AFTERNOON WITH NIKOS GRAMMATIKOS & BOOK PRESENTATION OF “TRUANTS, AN ORAL HISTORY”

As part of the major retrospective dedicated to the work of Nikos Grammatikos at the 67th edition of the Festival, audiences will have the opportunity to meet the filmmaker for an open discussion about his creative process and the key milestones of his career. The event will conclude with the first presentation of Truants, An Oral History by Theodosis Michos, published by Antipodes.Thirty years after the film’s premiere, the author, Nikos Grammatikos and other members of the film’s cast and crew come together to revisit the story behind Truants. They look back on the filming, recalling the funny and difficult moments, reflect on the passage of time and remember those who are absent from their lives. Moderator: Yannis Palavos, collaborator of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival Program team.

The discussion will be conducted in Greek with simultaneous interpretation into English
