"Stars Last Forever!"

Amidst a sweet and moving ambiance, the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in collaboration with Finos Film production company and the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, awarded the iconic Greek actors who starred in numerous unforgettable gems of Greek cinema for their overall contribution to the seventh art and the Greek culture.

The president of the Festival’s Board of Directors actor Akis Sakellariou and actor Stelios Mainas were the hosts of this celebrational event for Greek cinema, held at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus.

The audience was given the chance to offer a standing ovation to actors Anna Fonsou, Kaiti Ibrochori, Maria Ioannidou, Vasilis Kailas, Alexandra Ladikou and Sotiris Tzevelekos. and to watch a commemorative film where actors share their thoughts and memories with the public. Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture, Jason Fotilas, Deputy Minister of Culture, responsible for Contemporary Culture, Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Development, responsible for Research and Innovation, Evgenia Barbagianni-Adamopoulou, Deputy Regional Governor for Volunteerism, Giannis Hatzialexis, Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of Piraeus, and Nikos Diamantis, Artistic Director of the Municipal Theater of Piraeus.

The audience and the guests were welcomed by the Festival's Artistic Director Orestis Andreadakis.
