The Thessaloniki International Film Festival is happy to invite podcasters from Greece and abroad to submit their works at the Podcast section of the 67th TiFF (5-15/11/2026).
The Podcast section of the Thessaloniki Film Festival includes:
- The Competition Section: Participating podcasters set their eyes on the Best Podcast award, accompanied by a 2,000-euro prize.
- The Nexus Section features podcasts that stand out for their topic, technique and use of podcast tools.
The podcasts that will be selected for the Podcast Section will be presented during the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 5th-November 15th 2026) online at the Festival’s platform.
Greek-speaking and English-speaking podcasts are eligible for submission, provided that they celebrate their world premiere at the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and are not uploaded on any public or subscription platforms up until the end of the Festival (November 15th, 2026). The deadline for the submission of podcasts for the 67th TiFF’s Podcast Section expires on Monday August 31st, 2026.
The Podcast section of the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival is open to:
- fiction podcasts
- documentary podcasts
- fiction or documentary podcasts that include interviews in their narrative thread.
All podcasts should have a duration of 20-30 minutes.
For yet another year, the Festival is teaming up with the ENS Louis Lumière and the French Institute of Greece, granting the ENS Louis Lumière-French Institute of Greece Award for Upcoming Audio Documentary Creator to one of the participants in the Podcast Section of the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (5-15/11/2026) and the 29th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (March 2027). The recipient of the award will have the chance to attend the six-week Sound Documentary International Summer Programme hosted by ENS Louis Lumière, addressed to young and upcoming professionals of the audiovisual field (creators of blogs, podcasts or any other audio project). The six-week programme, carried out in English, will be hosted in France, in summer 2027, whereas the exact dates will be announced in the near future. The jury that will bestow the award will be composed of top-notch professionals of the field, handpicked by ENS Louis Lumière and the French Institute of Greece.
All candidates for the ENS Louis Lumière-French Institute of Greece Award for Upcoming Audio Documentary Creator must meet the following criteria:
- Aged 25-35
- Permanent residents of Greece
- Fluent speakers of the English language
All podcasters taking part in the Podcast Competition or the Nexus sub-section of the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the 29th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival are eligible for the scholarship award.
All candidates must submit the respective application form, available on the Festival’s website, and submit it along with the necessary justification documents.
The Award will be bestowed at the awards’ ceremony of the 29th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, in March 2027.
