SEEDS OF HOPE

In 1994, Rwanda experienced a terrible genocide. It is estimated that more than 1,150,000 people were murdered in only a hundred days. Within 100 days, the country was plunged into extreme poverty and despair. In 2012, six members of ActionAid’s youth team of volunteers visited Rwanda and discovered how women farmers have found hope in creating cooperatives and farming land to strengthen their lives but also their country’s food security. ActionAid volunteers talked with these women and bring their stories on the screen.
