A cinematic discussion on the conflict between man and nature in the films Deliverance (John Boorman, 1972), Pack of Sheep (Dimitris Kanellopoulos, 2021), and Digger (Georgis Grigorakis, 2020). From the American wilderness to rural Greece, these films explore how nature becomes a mirror of violence, self-preservation, and the collapse of community.
Part 1: A group of urbanites pay the price for their arrogance: nature doesn’t belong to them.
An introduction by Nicos Panayotopoulos, screenwriter and author.
Part 2: A pack of men breaks down under the pressure of fear and the need to survive. A father and son defend the forest against vested interests.
