Two fascinating new releases, the special screening of one the most iconic masterpieces of American cinema, and the Festival's presence at the 22nd Thessaloniki International Book Fair stand out in the upcoming week.

Delightful Leave One Day, Amélie Bonnin’s stunning debut that had the honor of being selected as the opening film of the 2025 Cannes Festival. A delicate portrait of a young woman found at a critical crossroad in her life, in a nostalgic romantic comedy spiced up with a touch of musical.

Inventive and resourceful Female by Konstantinos Menelaou, which explores through a multilayered approach the unseen aspects and the hidden truths behind the public image of Aliki Vougiouklaki, a radiant star of Greek cinema with an immense impact on the country’s social life.

Unforgettable To Kill a Mockingbird by Robert Mulligan, as part of the special screening “Cinema & Law”, one of the most iconic anti-racist masterpieces in the history of American cinema, based on the titular novel by Harper Lee. The event is held in collaboration with the group “Law and Art” of AUTh’s Law School. The screening will be followed by a discussion in Greek.

Moreover, the Festival is delighted to participate in the 22nd Thessaloniki International Book Fair, which will be held from Thursday May 7th to Sunday May 10th, 2026, at the Thessaloniki International Fair Helexpo Exhibition Center.
Last but not least, the films Mr. Nobody Against Putin, Kokuho and The Last One for the Road continue their successful run at the Festival's theaters.
