The 5th Evia Film Project called it a wrap with a big cinema feast and many surprises for children on Saturday June 27th, at the packed open-air cinema “Apollon” in Edipsos, with the screening of the beloved film Jurassic Park by Steven Spielberg.
The audience had the chance to take delight in home-made treats from local establishments along with Fischer beer, whereas a special programme of silkscreen tattoos, joggling acts and soap bubbles were in store for the children who attended the screening. Moreover, a series of stickers and small presents inspired from the EFP5 closing film were handed out.

The closing film was presented by the Festival’s Artistic Director Orestis Andreadakis, who thanked the Ministry of Culture and in particular the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni and the Deputy Minister Jason Fotilas, as well as all the employees of the Ministry. He also thanked COSMOTE TV, the Festival’s Grand Sponsor, Fischer beer, the Evia Island Ports Authority, the Municipality of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna, the Municipality of Istiea-Edipsos, and personally the Mayor of Istiea-Edipsos Ioannis Kontzias, who then went on stage and addressed a greeting, making a reference to the Greek-Spanish co-production of Yerma, which was in Edipsos, among other locations.

At that point, the short film made by the children who participated in the four-day children’s and teens’ workshop titled “It’s a Wrap! - Make Your Own Documentary” was screened, followed by a warm applause both for the children who participated and the workshop’s facilitators Yorgos Alexandrakis, Magda Nenou and Amarildo Topallis. The closing ceremony called it a wrap with the screening of Steven Spielberg’s epic blockbuster hit Jurassic Park.

The Evia Film Project was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture. Highly important was the contribution of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation. Valuable was the support of COSMOTE TELEKOM, the Festival’s Grand Sponsor, and Fischer, a consistent supporter of the Festival. The 5th Evia Film Project was held in collaboration with the Municipalities of Istiea-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Agia, as well as the Evia Island Ports Authority.
