EUGENE, IDENTITY UNKNOWN

Eugene is a humble clerk who suffers the oppression of his environment without reacting. In the evenings though, he becomes Humphrey Bogart and wanders in the Athenian underworld where he will meet and fall in love with a barwoman. One day he witnesses a bank hold-up. As the gangsters run away, they take him as a hostage. Next day, as the result of a series of misunderstandings, the Press will depict him as a legendary outlaw with a double life. Eugene will convince his naďve jailers that he really is an outlaw, an urban Robin Hood.
