The 28th TiDF turns its gaze to the work of Vouvoula Skoura, presenting 20 films that unveil her multi-layered universe. One of her films will be screened with accessible terms, while the director herself will be in Thessaloniki, where she will be bestowed with the Festival’s honorary Golden Alexander.

The 28th TIDF hosts a spotlight of six films on the American multimedia artist Bill Morrison, nominated for Best Documentary Short Film in 2025. Bill Morrison will attend the Festival, where he will deliver a masterclass and will be bestowed with the Festival's honorary Golden Alexander.

The innovative Immersive: All around Cinema competition section embraces works that make use of the most up-to-date technologies to showcase different views of an extended reality.

The 28th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival hosts a grand tribute to archives titled “All the world’s memory”, which will run through various pillars of this year’s edition, from film screenings and open discussions all the way to the Festival’s spot and editions.

Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival is hosting once again its Podcast section, welcoming a total of 23 podcasts, taking part at the Podcast Competition and the Nexus Section.
