It all started when Julie Keith from Oregon USA found an SOS note in a box of “Made in China” Halloween decorations. Setting off a chain of events that exceed even creative fiction, the desperate note written by a Chinese political prisoner not only traveled over 8,000 km, but led to the closure of the notorious Masanjia labor camp. Yet, this astonishing story, like the struggle to defend human rights, is far from over…
