The second of a series of online meetings, open to the public, hosting directors of both competition sections, International Competition and Meet the Neighbors, as well as the directors of Greek films participating in the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival program, was held on Tuesday 10th of November, on the YouTube Film Festival Channel. The audience had the opportunity to meet film directors Dimitris Koutsiabasakos (Daniel ’16), Danilo Caputo (Sow the Wind) and Lili Horvát (Preparations to Be Together for An Unknown Period of Time). Elena Christopoulou was the moderator of the discussion that was held in the frame of the Agora events.
Agora Talks: Online discussion about the current status of co-productions in Europe hosted by EWA

On Monday 9th November, within the framework of the Agora events of the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival, an online discussion on the current status of co-productions in Europe, as formed after the pandemic outburst, was held. The EWA (European Women Audiovisual Network) hosted this meeting. Eight cinematography producers from seven different countries, as well as Susan Newman, representing Eurimages and the European Audiovisual Observatory, participated in the meeting. The discussion was held with the EKOME support.
Agora Talks: Introduction in Film Marketing

Agora Talks are held online with the support of EKOME (National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication) in order to give to cinema professionals and to projects participating in Agora the necessary tools for a better understanding in questions of contemporary coproduction and film marketing from the very start. Christina Pelekani, specialist in marketing issues, introduced us in film marketing, presenting ways to achieve film promotion.

Seventeen projects were presented in the Crossroads Co-Production Forum of the 61st TIFF’s Agora, taking place online this year (November 10 – 13). This year, the Greek participations are more than ever, while almost half of the projects are by women directors.
