The Thessaloniki Film Festival continues its efforts for the greater extroversion of Greek cinema and its promotion abroad. After successful actions in Cannes, Sarajevo, Locarno film festivals, among others, the Thessaloniki Film Festival will facilitate Greek producers to present their work to the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and to the Berlin Film Festival.
French filmmaker Nicolas Philibert and American director and photographer Lauren Greenfield will attend the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival to showcase their work. Nicolas Philibert will also present a masterclass and will be bestowed the Festival's honorary Golden Alexander, whereas Lauren Greenfield will also serve as a member of the International Competition jury.
The fascinating documentary "The Last Republican" by Steve Pink, which unveils the struggle given by popular former Republican politician Adam Kinzinger to bring Donald Trump before justice, will be screened as part of the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (6-16 March 2025).
The submission window for the Podcast Section of the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (March 6-16, 2025) is extended to Monday January 20/1/2025, 5pm.
The 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival will take place from March 6 – 16, 2025 aiming to inform and sensitize the audience about critical issues of our time. The Festival celebrates the art of cinema with the best documentary films from all over the world, cinematic surprises, distinguished guests, tributes and a series of parallel events.
