The AI, an Inevitable Intelligence tribute of the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (6-16 March, 2025) invites the audience to embark on a fascinating journey that includes a selection of eye-opening documentaries, an impressive visual installation, a masterclass, a special two-language edition, as well as the Festival’s magazine First Short, co-created this year with the help of AI as a form of experimentation.
Illuminating stories and burning up-to-the-minute issues of current affairs are thrust into the limelight during the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, held from March 6th to March 16th, 2025. The unwavering policy of the state of Texas against abortions, a journalistic pilgrimage in northern Gaza amid Israeli bombings and violent clashes, the vast propaganda campaign of Russia's authoritarian political system and the struggle of five women against digital control, are all chronicled in a selection of great documentaries within the framework of the 27th TiDF.
Τhe 27th TiDF AGORA (March 7-15) has selected 10 projects from 12 countries for the Agora Docs in Progress, from Southeastern Europe and the Mediterranean region, as well 4 projects from Greece for the Agora Boost (previously known as Agora Lab).

The AGORA of the 27th TiDF(6-16/3/2025) unveils the Thessaloniki Pitching Forum projects, as well as its new initiative AGORA XR Lab, a workshop dedicated to XR and new media projects in development. The AGORA of the 27th TiDF will be carried out from 7 to 15 March, 2025.
