In music terminology a Coda is the last part of a composition, the “tail” that gives each work the proper aftertaste. The last period of the life and work of Ryuichi Sakamoto was sealed by two important events: his struggle with cancer and the nuclear explosion in Fukushima. As we witness the birth of a music masterpiece, we listen to the way the composer “hears” the universe, perceiving an end is a beginning.
