Sakis Papadimitriou – A Life Improvised

The piano is... The piano is not... 1979. At the foot of the Acropolis, in the only jazz club in the country, the pianist Sakis Papadimitriou and the saxophonist Floros Floridis perform what is to mark the birth date of the contemporary Greek jazz scene. Improvising at Barako’s is the title of the recording. This film is the portrait of Sakis Papadimitriou, a writer and jazzman in different capacities – writer, co-organizer of festivals, radio producer with a 35-year career on Greek national radio – but, above all, an improviser.
