California Dreaming

In the collective psyche of Americans, California has always served as the land of blissful dreaming and easy living; the state of Hollywood movie stars, surfers and sunshine. The truth is California is, in fact, a bankrupt state, where public services are being cut and unemployment keeps rising. Nevertheless, the American Dream still holds its ground. The film introduces us to five people undergoing a transformation in their life during this crisis; five stories that are the stuff the new America is made on.
