The Thessaloniki International Film Festival, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, is collaborating with the 2nd London Greek Film Festival. This event will take place from October 30 to November 1 at The Hellenic Centre located in the heart of London’s West End. The London Greek Film Festival aspires to become the international meeting point for producers, film makers and film writers from Greece, Cyprus and Greeks of the Diaspora. The Festival also invites international film and video makers who incorporate themes from the historical and cultural heritage of Greece as well as contemporary Greek reality in their productions, use the Greek language or undertake Greek productions.
For three days, the London Greek Film Festival will host fiction and documentary films, animation and shorts as well as video art, fiction film scripts and short film scripts from new and established artists. The Festival’s programme and events (discussions, workshops, networking) aim to establish it as a nucleus of creative meetings, a unique forum for expression and artistic experimentation not only for seventh art professionals but also for cinephiles who wish to discover the cinematic trends and faces that define cinema today.
