The film unfolds against a backdrop of the mountains of Kurdistan on the eve of the US invasion of Iraq. Thirteen-year-old Soran is the most popular boy in his village, thanks to his ability in installing Tv antennas and satellite dishes for his fellow villagers, anxious to hear about the fall of Saddam. But Soran is also the undisputed leader among his peers, who all adore him. Soran falls in love with the unsmiling, sad Agrin, already a mother at age 14, and whose brother, Henkov, lost both his arms when he stepped on a landmine and who now appears to be able to see the future...
