A train with more than thirty passengers disappears in the Buenos Aires metro system. The alarm is given, and an extensive search begins; an attempt to explain the inexplicable disappearance. A young topologist is put in charge of the investigation. Little by little, he gathers the necessary maps and technical data. Although he is unable to locate the elderly scholar who designed the underground system, he receives unexpected help from a little girl. However, everything seems pointless. It is only by a chance event, one which nearly costs him his life, that he discovers the surprising solution.
