Film description

In the heart of Africa, some twenty years ago, a new animal was introduced into Lake Victoria as a scientific experiment. The Nile perch, a voracious predator, extinguishing almost the entire stock of the native fish species. At the same time. The global demand for Nile perch fillet increased and a large-scale fish industry developed in the region. Today Nile perch fillets are exported all over the world. Huge, hulking ex-Soviet cargo planes come daily to collect the latest catch in exchange for Kalashnikovs and ammunition for the uncounted wars taking place in the dark center of the continent. On the shores of the world’s biggest tropical lake, the booming multinational industry of fish and weapons has created an ungodly alliance between local fishermen, businessmen, homeless children, politicians, EU commissioners, Tanzanian prostitutes and Russian pilots...
