An audacious person, who never minces his words, and that is why he is displeasing, but also trully authentic and cinematically exciting. When he appeared with the film “From the Edge of the City”, he gave a breath of life to the dying Greek cinema of the 90s. The director is bold and aesthetically and thematically brave, with a rich work of short and middle-length films (his feature films are only seven) and with a primary focus on the theme of Distinctness and our relationship with the Other. The book, edited by Yorgos Krassakopoulos, documents successfully the points of references of the creative journey of the first great Greek filmmaker of the new generation.
