The publication opened with a text by Michel Demopoulos, followed by an essential introductory text on his work, an in-depth discussion with Hubert Niogret on the Japanese folk soul, as well as three texts by the director himself. The twenty films of his filmography are accompanied by texts from the most eminent Greek and International film critics, while the two indisputable masterpieces by the Japanese filmmaker are analyzed in three text each: The Profound Desire of the Gods (Antoine de Beck, Nikos Savvatis, Dimitris Bampas) and Vengeance is Mine (Serge Dané, Emmanuel Carrère, Angelos Frantzis). This monograph is one of the diamonds of the festival's publications, which closes with a detailed bio-filmography by the editor Babis Aktsoglou. A rare and rich photo archive.
