In the 20 years of his extremely active career, he has produced more than 100 films, including masterpieces of the European Cinema. He was also a great supporter of young and new directors. Indeed, being a risk-taker and a visionary producer and distributor (in order to support his choices), the Portuguese Paulo Branco is a figure that had an immense impact on the European Cinema in the last few decades. This short publication includes a self-presentation, an interview for the Cahiers du Cinéma; a text edited by Nikos Savvatis about the five iconic productions and the sum of the films he produced.
