The International Competition Jury
The members of the International Competition Jury of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival are: producer Diana Elbaum; the former director of the Berlin International Film Festival and journalist Dieter Kosslick, and filmmaker and producer Elina Psykou.
The films of the International Competition program are eligible for the following awards:
The Grand Sponsor of the COSMOTE TV Festival supports the Silver Alexander award with a cash prize of 5,000 euros.
Meet The Neighbors+ Jury
Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, actor; Xenia Kaldara, chairperson of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation; and Cédric Succivalli, programmer and film critic.
The films of the Meet the Neighbors+ competition are eligible for the following awards:
The Film Forward Jury
The members of the Film Forward Jury of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival are Köken Ergun, filmmaker and moving-image artist; film practitioner, writer, and scholar Ana Grgić, and filmmaker Nikos Pastras.
The films compete for the Golden Alexander (8,000 euros cash prize) and the Silver Alexander (4,000 euros cash prize).
The Immersive: All Around Cinema Jury
The members of the Immersive Jury of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival are: Panos Giannikopoulos, art historian and curator; Pedro Harres, film director and visual artist; and Thelgia Petraki, filmmaker.
The Golden Alexander awarded to the best film of the section is accompanied by a monetary award of 2,000 euros.
The Mermaid Award
The members of the Mermaid Jury of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival are Mihai Chirilov, film critic and festival organizer; Evi Kalogiropoulou, visual artist and filmmaker; Ivan Mitifiot, the Artistic Director of the Festival Écrans Mixtes.
The Mermaid Award is a prize for the best LGBTQI-themed film from the official selection of the Thessaloniki Film Festival. For the second year in a row Mastercard supports the award with a monetary prize of 3,000 euros.
The Podcast Jury
The members of the Podcast Jury of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival are: Katerina Bakogianni, journalist-co-founder of Melon Media-Head of Podcasts of Alter Ego Media Persefoni Miliou, film director, sound designer and sound mixer, Dimitris Vrachnos, programme director at the 99.2 Melodia radio station, and radio producer.
The podcasts of the Competition section are competing for the Best Podcast Award, accompanied by a 2,000-euro cash prize. In addition, all podcasters aged 25-35 years old taking part in the Festival, both in the Podcast Competition and the Nexus section, are eligible for the ENS Louis Lumière - French Institute of Greece Award for Upcoming Audio Documentary Creator.
