Evia Film Project: The projects in development were presented
On Friday, June 17 the projects in development were presented in the Agora of the Evia Film Project. The projects pitch and presentation took place in the Loutra Edipsou Cultural Hall, where the film professionals were greeted by the general director of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Elise Jalladeau and the head of the Agora, Yianna Sarri.
Yianna Sarri thanked the participants, saying: “It is extremelly important that you are all here, in Northern Evia, supporting with your presence and your projects this effort”.
Elise Jalladeau thanked the sponsors and the jury, comprised by Rea Apostolides (producer, Greece), Caroline Libresco (film festival curator, producer, program director and story consultant, USA) and Edvinas Puksta (festival programmer, Lithuania).
Agora’s coordinator, Angeliki Vergou took the baton and presented the awards that will be handed out by the international jury: the Evia Film Project in Development Award with a 4,000 euro cash prize, the Pitch the Doc Consultation Award and the MIDPOINT Institute Consultation Award.
Soňa Morgenthalova from Midpoint Institute thanked the Evia Film Project and noted that Midpoint Institute supports the filmmakers mainly from the Central and Eastern Europe for more than 12 years. “We hope that you enjoy the projects” she concluded.

The Evia Film Project is part of the "Light Donors" of the "Reconstruction Program of North Evia - Evia Meta". They are projects and events implemented in collaboration with Ministries and Institutions, highlighting all aspects of the holistic program in North Evia and illuminating the future of the region.
