Film description
What would happen if a nuclear bomb fell on London? This is the theme of Mick Jackson’s masterly television film which shocked the whole of British society to its core in the Cold War 80s. A BBC production based on a script by Barry Hines of Kes fame, the film takes up the thread from Peter Watkins’s War Game and gradually builds up an oppressive atmosphere whose like we have rarely had the chance to see at the cinema.
