QUIET DAYS IN AUGUST

The film consists of three interconnected stories which take place in Athens during the month of August. An old lady and a neighbour of hers --a much younger woman-- meet and become friends. One night on the subway, a retired seaman meets a woman who has just been widowed. A tender relationship develops between them. Every day, att he same time, a bank clerk receives "dirty" phone calls from an unknown woman.
