He studied at the Russian Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow. He has directed 3 short films in Russia and Greece. He has participated in many international film festivals including the Cannes IFF. He was honored with a scholarship from the Cannes IFF in 2002-2003. He was first assistant director to the Russian master filmmaker Alexey German senior.
