Animation director and animator, cartoonist, illustrator, comic strip and graphic designer, he was born in 1930. In 1950, having enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts a year earlier, he joined a group of cartoonists from the Kerempuh weekly humor magazine in a great adventure: mastering the art of animation and producing animated films. Bordo is one of the pioneers of Yugoslav/Croatian/Zagreb animation. He began creating his independent animated films for Zagreb Film in 1961. His interest in the field of graphic design has also been wide; he equally enjoys typography and drawing, newspaper advertisements, posters, trademarks, mascots, periodicals, books, etc. During his 60-year-long professional career, he has received a number of national and international grants and awards. He was involved in the World Festival of Animated Films in Zagreb from its inception in 1972. He was also a member of the Board of ASIFA, the International Association of Animated Film, for many years.
