A BEAUTIFUL DAY

He was born in Athens, Greece and moved with his family to Germany, where in 1982 he completed his education in Fine Arts, in Munich. He began his feature career as a Director of Photography for Roger Corman, for whom he photographed seven feature films within two years. In the years to come, he would collaborate with many international directors in award-winning films (27 Missing Kisses, Walk the Line, The Ides of March, among others). In 2013, he won an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Alexander Payne’s Nebraska.
