Born in Canberra,Australia, he hoped to become a filmmaker but, due to medical problems, he abandoned this dream. After receiving the suicide video of a friend and his own subsequent suicide attempt, he decided to make a film to give his life new meaning and hopefully save the lives of others in similar situations. He wrote, directed and produced 2:37, his first feature film, when only 20 years of age. The film 2:37 was officially selected at the Cannes Film Festival 2006. He is now working on his second feature film.
