Enhanced Accessibility screening

The 28th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival presents a screening with enhanced accessibility, sponsored by Alpha Bank, of the award-winning documentary Hercules, Acheloos, and My Granny by Dimitris Koutsiabasakos. The film will be shown with Audio Description (AD) and Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH). For the first time, the Festival is also introducing film pictograms (FilmpiX), further enhancing the viewing experience for neurodiverse audiences. These graphic symbols, representing objects or concepts, provide an additional means of access for viewers who process visual-spatial information more easily than auditory or textual material. The screening will be sensory-friendly, with reduced sound and lighting levels to ensure that people on the autism spectrum can enjoy the film comfortably.
