At the Hellenic Steel plant, the factory machinery freezes and the gate of the factory becomes the venue for meetings, discussions, events, and arguments. Nine months in the streets of Athens, Eleusis, Volos. The strike transcended the Greek borders, became known and was embraced by thousands of workers around the world. Scenes from the strike intertwine with the steelworkers’ account of how they experienced the strike. So what was so unique about this strike?
