HOTEL JUGOSLAVIJA

On the shores of Danube in Belgrade, in the urban area that became an experimentation site for modernist architecture, stands the emblematic “Hotel Jugoslavija.” As we wander around and about this mythical place – a symbol of an era – we get on the long list of its temporary famous, infamous, and unknown visitors, and we see from a distance how a building can establish ideologies and national identities, but can resist the collapse of collective memory.
