This film traces the memories of the director’s family, of Cuban origin, over three generations: her grandparents, her parents, and her own. When she was one year old, almost two, her parents chose exile. Not only because they were opposed to the Castro regime, but also because her mother Zoé Valdés, writer, took the decision at that precise moment to tell the reality of her daily life in her books and to the foreign press.
