CANDOMBLE

Candomblé is a mixture of various African religions and Catholicism. It appeared in Brazil during the Portuguese colonization. Today it is one of the country’s main religions. Although the influence of Catholicism is obvious in a lot of feasts of candomblé, the essence of the religion is purely African.
