Film description

Driven by the impulsive recklessness of youth, incurable music-lover Mark Reeder did the unthinkable: he left 1970s Manchester behind at the age of twenty to unearth the holy grail of electronic music in West Berlin. A Berlin that was to become his home, at a time when, although still split in half, it embraced everyone and everything, even the young Nick Cave and Tilda Swinton. In the city that was the ultimate symbol of Cold War paranoia, an eccentric guy with a penchant for military uniforms and an instinct that was to make him a successful music producer and talent scout like Paul Van Dyk bloomed like a hallucinogenic flower on the Wall. And thanks to him and the camera he always carried to capture everything going on around him, we now have this unique, exuberant documentary of the city that gave birth to the Underground.
