In the 1960s Greek countryside, a six-year-old Roma has to cope with school bullying, an abusive father, and a racist society. His dream of becoming a musician seems impossible. Nevertheless, the boy will not give up: he intends to become a world-class clarinetist.

Fivos Kontogiannis

Fivos Kontogiannis was born in Athens in 1983. He studied Fine Arts in Athens, and Cinema at the Philosophy Department of the University of Rome. He graduated from Nuova Universita del Cinema Televisione (Cinecittà Studios). He has written and directed five short films and two feature documentaries that have been screened and awarded in festivals around the world.
