Vittoria

Vittoria

TIFF65: Greek Premiere
A mother of three boys, married to a husband who adores her, and the owner of a successful hair salon in the vibrant city of Naples, is tormented by an intense, almost inexplicable longing: the desire to have a daughter. This thought haunts her dreams and dominates her everyday life. It becomes an obsession, putting her at odds with nearly everyone around her, who fails to understand why this desire consumes her so deeply. But for her, it’s something that must happen. Is it just a fleeting whim, or is it a cosmic force that drives her forward, igniting a fire inside her? Based on a true story, overflowing with raw truth and irresistible tenderness, Vittoria brings real people to life on screen, turning them into “your kind of people” as you follow their journey. It leads to an ending that is as unexpected and unique as the extraordinary stories that life itself creates, leaving no one untouched.
