Xenia

Strangers in their own birthplace, 16-year-old Danny and his 18-year-old brother Odysseus travel from one end of the country to the other in search of their Greek father, after their Albanian mother passes away. Determined to force him to acknowledge paternity, little do they know that the road to the much-coveted Greek citizenship is paved with ghosts from the past, adult savagery and a dream that needs to come true, no matter what. Reaching the end of this journey of initiation, they eventually come of age, even if Greece refuses to follow them.

Panos H. Koutras

Born in Athens. He studied film at the London Film School, and Sorbonne (Paris I). In 1995, he founded the production company 100% Synthetic Films. He has written and directed five feature films, and co-produced four of them. His films have traveled to festivals and theaters worldwide. He lives and works in Athens and Paris.
