Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Luc Dardenne

Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne were born and grew up in an industrial suburb of Liège. After studying dramatic art and philosophy respectively, the two siblings turned to cinema, gradually crafting their distinct style: a socially oriented and humanistic approach, known for the handheld camera and a preference for improvised dialogue. The Dardenne brothers are members of the prestigious elite of two-times Palme d’Or winners.
