Zhenia is a sought-after Ukrainian masseur, offering his services to the residents of a lavish neighborhood in a Polish city. This enigmatic man, blessed with a magical touch, has become equal parts healer and confessor, filling the existential void of his nouveau riche clients. Drawing on Poland’s headlong and immodest transition from communism to capitalism at the beginning of the 90s, this tale of alienation outlines the scathing portrait of a society in a deep malaise.
