Yannis Economides
Yannis Economides was born in 1967 in Limassol, Cyprus. After several short films and documentaries, he wrote and directed his first feature film. He has directed several feature films that have screened in prestigious film festivals (Cannes, Berlinale, Busan) and had both commercial and critical success. Among his work are films like Matchbox, Soul Kicking, Knifer, Stratos. He also wrote and directed the play Sleep, Stella, Sleep.
