The Messiah

From the moment of its creation, Handel’s “Messiah” has never ceased to captivate. Αt the dawn of the third millennium there are many who await this call since our world is going from bad to worse. Far removed from film representations based on operas,William Klein’s film is inspired by the musical work, Handel’s oratorio, giving it new meaning. Music and images in simultaneous harmony and conflict create a paradoxical and innovative approach.William Klein conveys the marvelous energy of the work. So “Messiah”, becomes both a call and a confirmation, expressing grandeur and weakness, fear and hope; it becomes the oratorio of the end of the century.
