Mister Freedom

Mister Freedom is an American superhero who protects justice and morality, and has been sent by the all-powerful “Organization for Freedom” on a mission to save France from the yellow peril and the Red menace. Confronted by the Red Chinaman, the Music Man and the Super Frenchman, Mr. Freedom does not manage to achieve anything more than to plunge the country in blood and fire as he did in Vietnam and Iraq. Faced with this bloody satire on American imperialism, the audience initially feels it is watching a circus, until it discovers that it is actually seeing newsreel footage. Klein manages to recreate a film version of a comic book by adapting his visual world.
