The offices, the theaters and the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival will remain closed, following the instructions of health officials. The Festival's staff works from home, with the help of technology. 

Following the announcement of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports from the 13th of March 2020 concerning the operation of museums and archaeological sites in Greece, the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum will remain closed to the public.

Suspension of theater function: Following the announcement by the Ministry of Health to suspend the operation of the cinemas, the cinemas of Olympion, Pavlos Zannas, Stavros Tornes and John Cassavetes suspend their screenings.

The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is now live in 16 countries! For the first time, a film festival presents its pitching forum live and online.

After the postponement of the 22nd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, a significant part of the initiatives and projects hosted by Agora Doc Market, the development branch of the Festival, will be carried out online. The Thessaloniki Pitching Forum and the Docs in Progress awards will be announced on Thursday, March 12, 2020.
