The special screening of Sotiris Tsafoulias’ television series Rififi took place on Monday, November 3rd at the packed Frida Liappa theater, with the Chief of Corporate Communications, Sustainability & Channel Productions of OTE Group, Dimitris Michalakis, in attendance, along with the Content Director at Cosmote TV, Faye Tsitsipi, the director Sotiris Tsafoulias, the series’ scriptwriters Vassilis Risvas and Dimitra Sakali, the actress Evangelia Moumouri, and actors  Christos Chatzipanagiotis, Vassilis Haralambopoulos, Prometheus Aleiferopoulos, Achilleas Zervas.

An icon of French and world cinema, Isabelle Huppert, the Festival’s guest of honor, was welcomed by the audience of the 66th TIFF on Monday, November 3rd, in the packed Olympion theatre, where she presented the film The Richest Woman in the World (2025) by Thierry Klifa. 

In a heartfelt event that took place on Monday, November 3rd, at the Pavlos Zannas theater, the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in collaboration with Finos Film, awarded 37 iconic actors, who starred in unforgettable films of the 1960s for their overall contribution to cinema and Greek culture. 

The presentation of the projects participating in this year’s Crossroads Co-production Forum of the 66th TIFF’s Agora took place on Monday, November 3rd, at the Tonia Marketaki Theatre, in the presence of Elise Jalladeau, the Festival’s General Director, Angeliki Vergou, the head of the Agora, as well as the renowned chef Sotiris Kontizas, this year’s Agora ambassador. The 21st Crossroads Co-production Forum gives the opportunity to 14 film projects from 16 countries of the Southeastern Europe and the Mediterranean region to seek co-producers and funding.

Within the framework of the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the dazzling star Isabelle Huppert, the guest of honor at this year's Festival, gave a press conference on Monday, November 3rd, at the John Cassavetes theater, sharing with the audience memorable moments and experiences from her radiant career in French and world cinema. 

In a heartfelt event, the 66th TIFF honored the film critic Ninos Phenek Mikelides for his lifetime contribution to cinema on Sunday, November 2nd, at the Pavlos Zannas theatre. At the same time, Mr. Mikelides prefaced Sylvain Chomet’s film A Magnificent Life, screened as part of the spotlight to Marcel Pagnol hosted by the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
